Healthy 'Cane Network

There are multiple variables that contribute to a student’s well-being.

At the University of Miami, we’ve narrowed down the complexity of well-being into three simple ideals: healthy behaviors, healthy body and healthy brain. These three factors contribute to happiness, productivity, academic achievement and overall life-satisfaction.

The Healthy Cane Network is a collaborative effort within the Division of Student Affairs that supports students overall wellbeing and provides a supportive environment that allows students to exceed their potential.
Healthy behaviors are those that will have a positive effect on your health, performance and well-being.

A healthy body means maintaining an adequate fitness level and eating the appropriate foods so that you are healthy.

A healthy brain can learn, concentrate, maintain an active and clear mind, and effectively regulate emotions.
